How broker-level consultant management works
One record, many clients
Consultants in Nordflow are created at the broker level under Resource management. A single consultant record can be mapped to any number of clients. The consultant logs in with one set of credentials and sees only the clients they have been assigned to.
Why not create users per client?
Creating a separate user inside each client leads to duplicate records, multiple email invitations, and no central view of who has access where. When the consultant leaves, you would need to remove them client by client.
With broker-level management, one record controls everything. Assigning the consultant to a new client is a checkbox. Removing all their access is a single deactivation.
Active and inactive status
Each consultant entry has an active/inactive flag. Inactive consultants cannot log in and are hidden from approval-group member pickers across every client. The record and its action history are kept — only access is removed. This is how staff turnover is handled cleanly.
Access vs approval rights
Assigning a consultant to a client gives them access to that client’s documents. To have them participate in approval flows, they also need to be added to the relevant approval groups within each client. The two concepts — access and approval authority — are configured separately.
