Re-extract a document

Use Re-extract when a document arrived before a rule change and still has outdated captured values or incorrect routing. Re-extracting pulls the document out of its current flow, re-runs it through the data capture engine with all current rules, and reinserts it as if it had just arrived.

Where: Approval overview, or the Quarantine tab for documents parked there

  1. Tick the checkbox next to the document (or multiple documents) you want to re-extract.
  1. Click Re-extract in the action toolbar that appears. The button is visible only to admins, bookkeepers, and consultants.
  2. Confirm if prompted. The document is sent back through the capture engine immediately and reappears in the flow routed according to current rules.
