Check why a document is at a group

Where: Approval → open a document → flow strip at the bottom of the page

  1. Scroll to the flow strip at the bottom of document details.
  2. Hover over any step on the strip. A tooltip opens with two sections:
    • Members — each person in the group, with an icon showing whether they have approved, are pending, or took another action.
    • Routing reason — why the document was sent to this group, for example “Dimension found: 108” or a cost center or project match.
  1. Use the routing reason to understand mis-routing — if the document is at the wrong group, the tooltip shows you which value triggered that routing.
  2. Hover a past step to see timestamps of when each member acted.
  3. Hover a future step to see who will be asked when the flow reaches that point.
