What is Nordpay?

Nordpay is Nordflow’s built-in payment module. Once an invoice has been approved and posted to the ERP, Nordpay automatically creates a payment for it. You review and approve that payment inside Nordflow — no need to log into your bank separately or copy any payment details manually.

How it connects to your bank

Nordpay uses open banking APIs to link directly to the client’s bank. After the connection is authorised, Nordpay can read available accounts and initiate payments on behalf of the user. Every payment is authenticated with the same credentials you already use for online banking — MitID in Denmark, BankID in Norway and Sweden.

The payment lifecycle

  1. A document is approved and posted to the ERP.
  2. Nordpay creates a payment with status Awaiting approval.
  3. A payment approver reviews, optionally edits, and approves the payment in Nordpay.
  4. The bank prompts for authentication (biometrics or PIN).
  5. The payment is scheduled or submitted immediately.
  6. When the bank confirms payment, Nordpay reconciles the transaction with the ERP.

Who can use it

Nordpay access is controlled by role. Users with the Payment approver role can authorise payments. Users with Payment viewer can see everything but cannot approve. Most regular document approvers have no Nordpay access at all.

Activation required

Nordpay is not on by default. Each client must complete a short KYC and contract process before payments can be made.
